Discover Under Eye Dark Circles Remedies

Under eye dark circles aren't always there because you stayed up too late the night before.

If you have ever gotten plenty of sleep but still are still frustrated by the dark purple marks under your eyes you may chalk it up to genetic tissue.

And, you would be partly right. After all, grandma had dark shadows under her eyes so therefore you will too, right? Well, yes and no.

You know, I've had purplish marks under my eyes my whole life--even has a kid--so I've been plenty frustrated by these ugly marks. So, I started researching their cause and how to get rid of them and here is what I found.

What really causes under eye dark circles is a combination of factors.

There iss a whole lot of research that says dark circles can be caused by everything from allergies to birth control pills. Doctors aren't in agreement on all the factors but what I do know is this, the skin under your eyes is thinner than the rest of your face. Do you agree? Ok, what this means is that this thin skin is more translucent so the blood vessels under your eyes are more visible.

Since you know blood vessels show up as a bluish/purplish color under your skin then it makes the thin, delicate under eye area appear as darker and purplish. Some people have thinner skin.

And darker skin people may have "hyper pigmentation" under their eyes which means extra melanin is gathering there making their skin darker.

As you age this skin gets even thinner. And then wrinkles and bags start to form which makes you look even more old and tired. Who wants that?

So, what can you do about it?

Well, if you've ever seen those spa pics of the woman lying with cucumber slices on her eyes you can do that at home. Just slice the cucumbers and put them on your eyes for 10 minutes while you're lying down. The cucumbers reduce puffy eyes and may help lighten your under eye dark circles.

Of course concealer has been my favorite weapon for years. Just dab some on before you apply your foundation and it helps to lighten that under eye area. Just don't over do it. You don't want to call attention to your concealer. You just want to cover up your under eye circles. A little goes a long way.

My other favorite weapon because it also protects against aging is a good under happinesslifetime.com eye cream. I have recently discovered one I really love because it has an ingredient to actually fade those ugly www.clear-and-healthy-skin.com under eye dark circles.

Do yourself a favor and see if does not fade your under eye circles while smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing puffiness!
