Causes Puffy Eyes

Puffy baggy eyes may seem to be a simple phenomenon for you, especially when you know you got them because of lack of rest and sleep. However, there are causes, both underlying and evident that you may want to take into consideration. Puffy eyes, as expert say in not just an exterior issue.

Here are some causes of puffy eyes:


Lack of sleep and rest. This may be the most know and most obvious reason behind eyes. Lack of sleep and rest causes you to have eyes simply because you fail to give your eyes the rest that it needs. Sleeping is not just for the brain and body but also for the eyes. Our eyes are strained everyday due to our daily work. Give your eyes some break! Go ahead and sleep!
Fatigue. This goes with the first one. Your eyes have the ability to show you the level of fatigue your body is enduring and suffering. eye area is your body's way of telling you to stop and rest.
Aging. As you age, your skin tissues do not firm up as much as when you are younger. The skin folds and creases especially on places where skin is the thinnest and more prone to creases. Double up on some moisturizer and avoid sun exposure.
Thyroid malfunction. Though this is one of the rarest causes of puffy eyes, you may want to look at this. An unexplainable development of puffy eyes may be due to some illnesses. Puffy eyes may be a symptom of a more serious disease.
