Causes of Dark Circles Under the Eyes and How to Get Rid of Them

If you got dark circles around your eyes, I have two pieces of good news for you.

A) You aren't sick.

B) They are not permanent.

First of all, those circles aren't a symptom of an illness. They are part of the natural process of aging. So, if you were worried about your health, you can rest assured that nothing wrong is happening to you.

Most people are surprised when they learn the cause of those dark circles. It's nothing more than bruises. When you hit your arm hard, a bruise will appear, right? Well, the same thing happens with the skin around your eyes, only that it isn't caused by one single hit. Instead, it's caused by years and years of eye rubbing and blinking. These soft but constant frictions have bruised your eyes very slowly, until they ended up looking the way they look now.

However, as I said before, those circles aren't permanent. Or at least they don't have to be. There are health care creams that will take care of that problem.

Why should you get rid of them if they're not dangerous?

Well, as with any aesthetic changes, there isn't a real reason to get rid of them. However, you might want to reconsider the matter if you work in an area where your image is important. These include jobs areas where you speak to clients or to an audience (big or small), like sales agents and teachers.

And of course, just as there is not a real reason to get rid of them, there isn't a real reason to NOT get rid of them. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look cleaner and healthier.
